It’s not that I want to be a hero. It’s not that I am good.

This is why I work in the humanitarian field

I just can’t stand the thought that my life is fantastic while other people’s lives are like this. It’s not goodness. It’s justice. If you believe in God, and you believe that there’s a reason people’s lives were born in different classes and statuses, then maybe it’s our purpose in life to balance that out. I don’t know if I’ll be able to save anyone. But I do know that I can’t stop hoping and trying I’ll be able to.

It’s not being a good person. It’s about being a fair person. I don’t even think it’s about being an idealism. I just think whether or not we succeed, that’s called working for justice.
